Debbie Lake Debbie Lake: Senior Clinician, Director and Founder of DLS Inc.  Debbie has dedicated over 30 years to the profession of Therapeutic Recreation and has been recipient of Distinguished Service Award  and Professional of the Year Award.  She is registered with the Canadian Therapeutic Recreation Association (CTRA) and has her Bachelor of Administration Degree and Therapeutic Recreation Diploma.  Debbie embraces inter-professional collaboration and community partnerships.  She highlights her expertise in assessment, medical / legal reporting and custom program design.  As an influential leader in the industry, Debbie is astute and always ready to unveil ground-breaking opportunities within her profession.  It is with deep professional pride she leads the forefront initiating the first private practice recreation therapist team in Alberta.  Debbie loves outdoor physical activities including skiing, snowshoeing, walking, cycling and treasures time with her family.

Melissa Olin Melissa Olin: Bachelor of Tourism Management, Recreation Major with Distinction and Therapeutic Recreation Diploma with Distinction.  Melissa has more than 12 years experience with  strong skills in disability adjustment and transition strategy for wellness during life change: after injury, palliative care and mental health.  Melissa specializes in community resource management, assessment and community re-integration.  She enjoys the challenge of identifying strengths and abilities within the diverse clientele.  Her passion is incorporating current technology.  Melissa is a supporter of professional development volunteering at the national level with Canadian Therapeutic Recreation Association (CTRA).  In her own leisure time, Melissa enjoys dance including Argentina Tango and Salsa.


Beverly Hillman Beverly Hillman: Bachelor Degree in Recreation Administration and over 25 years experience.  Beverly specializes in Dementia, memory cognition and creative interventions for clients, caregivers and families.  Beverly's passion is in caregiver support, staff training, public education and group facilitation.  She has significant knowledge and research interest in cognitive support including the development of reminisce kits and life memory journals.  Beverly facilitates the Memory P.L.U.S. community program for individuals and caregivers coping with early stage dementia.  Beverly spends her leisure time supporting fundraising efforts with Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer's Society, mountain bike riding and marathon runs.  Beverly enjoys her  volunteer visits with Okotoks Seniors Lodge, Stone Lodge and Tudor Manor. 


Megan Booi Shannon Hubbert: BScTR, CTRS, Recreation Therapist. Shannon Hubbert:  Bachelor of Science (Recreation) - Therapeutic from Dalhousie University with a Therapeutic Recreation (Gerontology) Diploma from Lethbridge College.  Shannon has National Therapeutic Recreation Certification (CTRS).  Shannon specializes in Neurological Rehabilitation and Transition and has a passion in adaptive sports including wheelchair basketball, power wheelchair hockey, sailing and hand-cycling.  Shannon spends her leisure time running marathons and sits on the CTRA Board of Directors as Secretary.  Most recently Shannon has been featured through the Celebration Health website for Recreation Therapy Month (2014) with the case study “From a wheelchair to skating in less than 60 days”.


Megan Booi Janene Andrews: Recreation Therapist. Graduate from Lethbridge Community College with over 10 years experience in a wide range of clinical areas. Janene enjoys coordinating volunteers, community resources and group management. She is a qualified trainer for Supportive Pathways and teaches in our community. Janene's passion is working in the area of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She spends her leisure time gardening, baking and spending time with her husband Rob and their two dogs. Janene currently sits on the membership application review committee with ATRA.
